Since 1981, the ZUM STIK trailer and the ZUM STIK itself has been a reliable feature of local community (Zanesville, Ossian, Markle and Bluffton) fairs. Over those years more that 127,000 ZUM STIKS have been sold. The Men’s group has used nearly all of that profit to support missionary projects ranging from our local H.O.P.E. Ministries and Stillwater to missionary efforts in Haiti.

Sherry and I had a chance to experience the Zanesville “fair” this year. We began the day working at, and of course enjoying, a pancake and sausage breakfast. We then watched the parade and I helped coach upwards football. After all of that activity we had a burger at the upwards concession stand. It was then time to look at all of the cars at the car show. Before we went home we remembered the ZUMSTIK trailer and went to enjoy our first ZUMSTIK. It was great; now I know what all the fuss is about. The fresh fruit and marshmallows were stacked just right and then coated with delicious chocolate. The fruit was sweet and chilled and the chocolate had a perfect consistency, not too hard and not too soft. I recommend eating a ZUMSTIK by starting at the top and pulling each segment of fruit or marshmallow off with your teeth, and just letting it melt in your mouth. I can’t wait until next ZUMSTIK season. —Pastor Tom
