What is DCLA you ask? DCLA is an opportunity for ZUM middle and high school
youth to join 9,000 students from other youth groups across the country in Washington DC from July 10-13 in the adventure of learning how to live into the mission of God. This is no Sunday school lesson or easy answer journey but rather, getting involved in God's amazing work of redemption, reconciliation and restoration of the world and everything in it. It's a call to BE. LOVE. SERVE. Repeat.

As of January 2, 2009, 31 youth are signed up to attend the evangelism training conference in Washington DC on July 8-14. The cost per youth is about $960, which brings the total cost of the trip to $29,700. Each youth is required to pay a $150 of the cost in order to go on the trip. The remaining amount of money will be collected through fund-raising. The first fund-raiser was a potato meal in October which made $1,173. “Pave the Way to DCLA” was kicked off in early November. As the main fund-raiser for this trip, sponsorship of miles is taking the place of many of the fund-raisers we have done in the past. To date about 700 miles of the nearly 1,100 miles have been sponsored. If you would like to sponsor some of the 400 miles left please see or call Mark Misch @ 450-2793, the remaining miles will be removed from the wall soon due to Upward starting. Thank you for continued generosity towards the youth of ZUM.
