Prayer Shawl Ministry Sharing
There is a song that goes like this, "Holy Spirit rain down on me. I need
your peace. I need your joy. Holy Spirit rain down on me. I need your healing
for my soul".

Have you ever felt the presence of the Holy Spirit? In the Bible, in Judges
there is a phrase "The Spirit of the Lord came upon him" which expresses a
temporary and spontaneous increase of physical, spiritual or mental strength.
How about when you are singing a song during worship and you get goose bumps or
when someone tells you a story of a miracle they have witnessed and you feel a
joy for that person and a feeling of God's love. Or perhaps when you are in
difficult situation and a feeling of peace overcomes you and you know things
will be okay.
A gentleman had received a new knee. Part of the recovery is having the knee
wrapped in an ice blanket 24/7. It gets very cold. He would cover up with a
sheet and two blankets and they would lay the prayer shawl over the knee and up
the left side of his body so it would touch his cheek. This warmed him up
instantly. It wasn't just a cozy warm, but a warmth that would reach deep inside
and warm him from the inside out. He felt he could feel everyone's prayers and
concerns for him through the shawl. He knows he has been told that there is no
magical power in these prayer shawls, but he believes you feel the love and
spirit of those who made the shawl as well as those that prayed over it. The
Prayer Shawl continues to remind him of those that love and care for him through
the love of Christ.
The Holy Spirit is available to all believers today, and will come upon
believers in an extraordinary way. We should ask the Holy Spirit of the Lord to
help us as we face our daily problems as well as life's major problems.
May the Holy Spirit rain down on you and give you peace and joy and a healing
for your soul.

“Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies?
Yet not one of them is forgotten by God.
Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all
numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth
more than many sparrows.” Luke 12:6
