As a parent you are interested in preparing your child for future progress in school. A child's social development is a key factor that contributes to academic success in school and leads to a happy, productive life. It is with this common interest in children that the Zanesville United Methodist Church, in 1980, began a Preschool program. This program is open to children of all faiths. Policies and procedures are under the supervision of the Preschool's Board. This Board is comprised of local church members, parents, and professionals. Classes are supervised and taught by experienced and caring Christian
teachers, holding Certificates in Preschool Education. The curriculum is comprised of large and fine motor development, early math and reading readiness skills, songs, stories, finger plays, and social interactions. Parents are responsible for providing transportation for their children to and from Preschool. The school must be notified in writing of transportation changes throughout the year. Children must be toilet trained and able to take care of their own toilet needs. (No diapers or pull-up diapers) Immunizations should be updated prior to the opening of class.
