Click here for a short video sample of the show.

Sun-Thurs 5:30PM-9:30PM
Fri-Sat 5:30PM-10:00PM

Here are just a few facts about the display:

·        There will be over 26, 000 lights in the part of the display coordinated to music.

·        All the strands plugged in end to end would be close to 1.75 miles long

·        All the lights are energy efficient LED’s and will be able to be powered by one 20 AMP circuit.  In comparison, this is the same amount of power needed to light just 200 of the traditional large C-9 incandescent bulbs.

·        Close to 4,000 zip ties will be used to hold the lights in place.

·        Over 200 feet of steel rod has been used to make frames for starts, trees, and a cross.

The entire display will be located on athletic fields as well as the concession stand and possibly some other features of the church property.  A large lighted nativity will be located in the south field and will be visible from the road.  A sign by the southwest entrance will invite visitors to drive to the east field and tune their car radios to a FM station,88.9, that will be broadcasting the music that the Christmas lights will be synchronized to.  The youth of the church will record bible passages telling the story of Christmas to be played between songs.  The concession stand will be transformed into Santa’s workshop where on selected nights we are planning on providing hot chocolate and candy canes to visitors.

We are very excited about this opportunity to share with the community.  The smiles and excitement of the people watching the light show is very rewarding.  But being able to tell the story of the birth of Jesus Christ in such a fun and inviting way is the ultimate motivation.  Behind all the lights and music there is a message.  Jesus was born for one reason- to die on a cross for us.

IT’S ABOUT THE CROSS
